Companies that are PUC and TLC licensed are required to participate in DOT compliant drug and alcohol testing programs and substantially follow the 40 CFR Part 40 Federal Regulations.
These include:
- 15 persons or less (including driver) passenger stage and charter-party vehicles
- Limousine companies
Tow Companies
States may require towing companies who engage in towing for the highway patrol or other entities in the state to participate in a DOT compliant state mandated drug and alcohol testing program.
